The arts involved in the triptych “Other Light” function simultaneously and on equal terms. It is equally true to say that “Other Light” is a work in the field of literary art, painting, or audiovisual forms. The piece works with the associative movements between text, sound, and image — in the words, rhythm, voice, timbre, substance, color, and composition. Light is both a structural element of the abstract composition and a leading thread in the poetry. The images were created by artists Ralitza Toneva and Spartak Yordanov through video recording of experiments with liquids, pigments, substances, and various materials. This specific authorial technique, which the two have been developing for 12 years, is close to the so-called painting under camera and to gestural painting.
