The actress Elena Dimitrova together with actor and director Yavor Kostov-Yondin created the first stage version of the text in Bulgaria. “The world of art and life in art, which were almost sacredly important in the past, are revealed to be destroyed by a monstrous machine that uses and discards talent. Underneath peers the despair born of shattered hopes, the fear of aging and death.” Thomas Bernhard is one of the most significant German-language writers of the 20th century, also called the “Alpine Beckett” and “Existential Clown.”
